Privacy Policy

The short version.
- AirClip sets no cookies. Not on our player, not on the pages it runs in.
- Our session identifiers are throwaway. A new random value is generated every time the player loads and is never written to your device, so it cannot follow you between pages, sites or visits.
- We build no profile of you. No advertising ID, no cross-site identity graph, no fingerprinting, no data brokers.
- You can switch our analytics off in one click, further down this page. We also honour Global Privacy Control automatically.
1. Who we are
AirClip is a short-form video product operated by 超有感有限公司, a company registered in Taiwan. The company has no separately registered English name; “AirClip” is our operating brand.

This policy covers airclip.tv, the AirClip video player wherever a publisher has embedded it, and cdn.shopwith.network, which serves our video and image files.
Publishers embed our player in their own pages. For the analytics described below we act on our own behalf; for content and configuration a publisher supplies, we act on that publisher's instructions. The publisher's own privacy policy governs the rest of their page.
2. What we collect
When the AirClip player runs, it sends us playback and advertising events. This is the complete list of what a single event can contain:

ab_group | Which variant of a product experiment the player was showing. |
None of these fields identifies you. We do not attempt to re-identify anyone from them, and we do not combine them with data from any other source.
Separately, our servers keep short-lived operational logs of the kind every web server keeps, which include the IP address a request came from. These are used to keep the service running and to block abuse, and are not joined to the analytics above.
3. What we never collect
- Your name, email address, postal address, phone number, or any account credentials — AirClip has no end-user accounts.
- Advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, or any persistent identifier for you.
- Precise location.
- Special-category data — health, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, political opinions, biometrics.
- Your browsing on other sites. We receive the URL of the page our player is on, and nothing else.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. Storage on your device
AirClip sets no cookies. We write exactly two values to your browser's local storage, and only these two:

Using the opt-out also writes a matching sw_optout cookie on airclip.tv, so that our servers can honour your choice even where a browser isolates storage between sites. It is the only cookie we ever set, it exists solely to carry your opt-out, and it disappears when you turn the opt-out off.
5. Why we process it
- To make the player work — choosing which clips to show and requesting the right ad.
- To report to publishers — how many views, completions and ad impressions their pages produced.
- To bill and be billed correctly, and to detect invalid traffic.
- To improve the product — measuring whether a change made playback better or worse.
Where the GDPR applies, our lawful basis is legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): running and measuring a service that a publisher has chosen to put on their page, using data that does not identify anyone. Where a publisher is required to obtain consent for advertising on their site, that consent is collected by the publisher through their own consent management platform before our player requests an ad.
6. Third parties
The AirClip player loads code from Google in order to request and render advertising:

Advertising demand itself comes from the ad partners a publisher has configured in their own ad server. Those partners are the publisher's choice, are disclosed in the publisher's own privacy policy, and their handling of data is governed by their own policies.

We do not transfer data to advertisers, data brokers, or any party for their own independent marketing purposes. We disclose data only to the publisher whose page produced it, to service providers acting on our instructions, or where the law requires it.
7. Your choices
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, AirClip treats it as an opt-out automatically, everywhere our player runs. You do not need to do anything else, and the control above will tell you when this is already in effect.
Advertising
The opt-out above stops AirClip's own analytics. It does not change the advertising served by the publisher's ad partners. For that you can use, in any region, Google My Ad Center (also reachable at google.com/ads/preferences) and the consent controls on the publisher's own site. The industry opt-outs apply as well: NAI in North America and Your Online Choices (IAB) in Europe.
Browser controls
Clearing site data for airclip.tv removes everything described in section 4, including your opt-out. Blocking storage for the site is also respected — our player degrades quietly and keeps working.
8. Retention
Individual event records are kept for no longer than 13 months, after which they are deleted. Aggregated counts that contain no event-level detail may be kept for longer for reporting and financial records. Operational server logs are kept for a short period only.
9. International transfers
AirClip is operated from Taiwan. Our application servers, database and content delivery network are provided by vendors that operate globally, so data may be processed in countries other than the one you are in. Where personal data of individuals in the EEA or the UK is involved, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it.
We want to be straightforward about a limit here: because our session identifiers are discarded on every page load and we hold no account, we are usually unable to locate records relating to a specific person. That is a deliberate design choice rather than an evasion — there is no profile of you to hand over, correct, or delete. Where you can give us enough detail to identify records, we will act on your request. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or the UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Children
AirClip is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. Publishers are responsible for not embedding the player on content directed at children. If you believe we hold data from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and move the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated to our publisher partners directly.
